New features on the Exchange
Cash Accounts now online!
There are a couple ways to make money at vs-ten, including referring paying members, or allowing your interface to see commercial pages from TheLinkRing.com.
This means there are several ways for you to earn a little a month. So, we've created a 'cash account' which lets you see your earnings in real-time.
You will be able to make a withdrawal request when your account reaches a certain level ($20 for free members, as low as $2 for upgraded members).
Getting Ready for full live and the move!
We've dallied in Gamma-land for several more months than expected.
Our goal in April/May will be to move to 'full production' and to a new domain (vs-ten.com).
We will do this gradually, so people have time to update their links properly.
New payment processors
We have added the following new payment processors in addition to PayPal:
- AlertPay
- Money Bookers
eGold - Note: eGold has been removed because of problems accessing it in the USA
- We are getting ready to add SolidTrust Pay into the system... still testing...
Reminder on the "on the net" logo
 |
The referral graphic, shown at left, is automatically
available to any member with an approved incoming interface to put on
their site. The full code is available at the bottom of the
incoming interface screen in the members' area (edit an interface, and
scroll to the bottom.)
The link clicks through (new window) to verify
this is a valid member, and embeds a referral cookie if it's viewed by a
Traffic Exchange Owner who later joins the network.

As you can see from the
scoreboard, multi-exchange support is fully
operational. We now also allow upgraded members to make their sites "sticky", to increase visibility, and to create multiple interfaces to the same site in certain circumstances.
We automatically enforcing the blacklist in-network, which helps cut down on pop-ups and non-english pages, if your site doesn't allow them..
We also have a history system to see what sites you have shown, or been shown, which is now
online (use the link in Outgoing views and Incoming views areas, underneath
the 7-day summary graph).
If you get a popup or frame-breaker through the network, please help
track it down and get it in the blacklist. That makes the system
better for everybody. Our blacklist now has over 4,300 entries to help
keep the network clean.
Manual-only is now a validated flag in the system. (Inclusive: no
manual flag means no manual-only interfaces will be polled, manual flag checked means ONLY manual-only interfaces will be polled).
Popups-permitted is now a validated flag in the system. (Exclusive: no
popup flag means no popup sites will be polled, and the blacklist will be checked for popups on any page loaded.)
We're testing an opt-out option, so that individual customers can 'hide'
their pages from the network. This is currently available for LJScript, Walker Software, TrEx, and a few LJ Variants.
Coming soon
In approximately this order.
- We will be adding a banner exchange back into the system... this is for exchanges between users, not a network-level thing.
- We will be moving to vs-ten.com and eliminating 'gamma' and 'beta' directories (your discounts will still apply, however).
- Page-caching will be delayed until we've moved to vs-ten.com. There's too much coding needed to have to do that twice.
- Users will get the option in their incoming views page to see pages on
their site that were skipped because of blacklisting. They will also
be able to get an email summary of that information.
